Cashier & Customer Service Team Member
Country Basket Garden Centre is a family owned, team oriented business situated in Niagara Falls with strong ties to the surrounding communities.
We are looking for positive, driven members to join our team to help grow and provide quality products to gardeners throughout the Niagara Region.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Manage transactions with customers using cash register efficiently
- Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate and collect payments
- Greet and receive customers in a welcoming manner
- Drive sales through suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge
- Answer customer questions and help resolve customer complaints with supervisor
- Maintain a clean and organized retail environment
- Set up eye-catching and appealing displays
- Water plants as necessary
- Assist customers with carry outs and cart returns
- Bag, box or gift wrap products
- Open and close cash registers accurately
Skills and Qualifications;
- Excellent Customer Service
- Ability to learn and retain knowledge on products
- Comfortable working in heat and the elements
- Can comfortably and safety lift to a max of 50 pounds
- POS experience is preferred
- Knowledge of plants and gardening is an asset
- Willing to work weekends and holidays during busy months
Contract length; 3 - 6 months Job Types; Part-time, Seasonal
